GRADE 4 COLOR THEORY GARDENS in watercolor pencil
The fourth grade classes did an incredible job with their gorgeous textured garden creations below!
And what was involved in this project?
*the comparison and contrast of floral details and their unique qualities
*the visual study and sketching of actual flowers and the creation of fantasy flora
* the creation of an original varied but balanced nature composition
*experimentation with watercolor pencil texture effects
*the implementation of color theory including:
- monochromatic color scheme: one color + black + white
- complimentary color scheme: combination of opposites:
(red + green, blue + orange, yellow + purple)
- the analogous color scheme: combination of related colors:
(red + orange + yellow, yellow + green + blue, blue + purple + red)
